Roo's summer job working for his adoptive father, Larry, presents an unexpected chance to meet his biological father, whom he has never known. Trapped between his desire to establish a 'meaningful relationship' with his natural father and his desire not to hurt Larry, Roo seeks the counsel of Dr. Bender, Dale's father, a psychiatrist and Larry's best friend. Unbeknownst to Roo that he is going with Larry's anxiety-wracked assistance, Roo enlists Dale to accompany him on his trek into the unexplored jungle of the connections between fathers and sons."
