§ Dramatis Personae
Bernie (m), a former Hollywood writer; Murray (m), his partner; Barber
(m), a kid.
§ Synopsis “Bernie occupies
barber’s chair in haircutting salon, getting a trim. He reminisces about
his days as a Hollywood writer as Murray looks on. When he gets to the
part about being forced to sell used cars instead of write scripts, growing
hostile—‘What did I know about selling cars,’ or words to that effect—his
friend pulls a gun and they rob the place, forcing the kid to empty the
register.
