§ Synopsis “Carmen, a forty-something-year-old actress comes home from an audition thinking she will be called back for a part. Her agent calls, telling her they want her for the older part in the play, sending Carmen into an evning full of visits from her past, future and set to appropriate arias frome her heroine, Maria Callas.

§ Comment “It is a play of fading hope and regret. • Single set. • Premiered in a one-week production at Polaris North in New York City. • I am also the author of eleven other one-act plays and eight full-length. A listing of my other plays is available. I am a member of the Dramatists Guild of America as well as of the Philadelphia Dramatists Center and a participating playwright at the Brick Playhouse in Philadelphia.” • Joseph M.
