Synopsis "An old woman brings home two bums to share a good Thanksgiving meal. She lives in a bad neighborhood with various protective devices, and many cats. One of her precious cats falls sick, and the woman must trust the bums while she goes for a vet. They ruin the meal accidentally, and, after deciding not to steal the old woman blind, prepare to cook a cat for a meat substitute. The old woman returns with the vet who says that all the cats have contracted a disease and that they're going to die. The bums, having grown to care for their benefactor, and suggest killing all the cats as a step to remedy world hunger. The old woman agrees, and they sit to eat.

Comments "Many stuffed cats will be needed, or, at least, cardboard cutouts to give the illusion of many cats. They can be closer to stuffed animals if that's easier since part of the joke is whether these cats are actually real or not. This play began as a playwriting exercise at FSU where it received many good comments."
