Synopsis “Spy vs. spy, Clint Michigan, soldier
of fortune, comes to the Golden Fez for a rendezvous with the dangerous
and beautiful Rosalyn Missouri, in order to obtain secret codes from her
for the launching of Polaris missiles. She tries to double-cross him, but
the proprietor beats them both to the punch.
Comment “This is in the vein of Casablanca.
Produced by Van Dirk Fisher at the Riant Theatre as part of the Strawberry
One-Act Festival, finalist, April 1996. Subsequently presented at the Producers
Club in New York (358 West 44th Street) with ‘Happy Endings’ by Beggars
Row Theatre Company on their Laughing Matters evening of comedy
one-acts at the Producers Club, September 18-28, 1997, and as part of an
evening of one-acts at the Kraine Theater, February 18-22, 1998, under
the direction of James Fischer. This play was taped for audio broadcast
over WBAI-FM radio in New York as part of the Best of the Strawberry One-Act
Festivals.”
