§  Dramatis Personae Narrator (m or f), New Orleans voice of tour guide; Messiah (m), 33, hippie/yuppie; Sidney (f), 21, yuppie.

§  Synopsis “Armed only with her talent, Sydney goes searching for the Messiah . . . three times. She finally awakens him from his sleep in the St. Louis Street Cemetery, New Orleans, where he has rested since his crucifixion. Both learn a bit about themselves and walk away grateful for the encounter.

§  Comment “‘Sealed Forever’ is a sometimes  humorous, sometimes serious, examination of the  human condition and the development and discovery  of Sydney’s true talent.  •  This work was designed to be perfomed in a community theatre with limited production facilities. This is an easy play to  produce, and the concept is simple to relate to. The  setting is a park bench with black curtains around the stage; could be a tomb if available. There are no scene changes, and staging has a low complexity factor.”

§  Themes cemetery, choice, Christ, coming of age, Jesus, magic, Messiah, New Orleans, religion, talent.
