§ Dramatis Personae Hardy Hall (m), 20, looking for something to take hold of, he wants so badly to belong; The Skipper (m), 52, a huckster, greedy and conniving; Laveda Anderson (f), 26, dedicated to The Cause.

§ Synopsis “Welcome to the weird and wild world of cults, culture clash, and confusion. Our man Hardy gets lured into ‘Climbing the Ladder’ of enlightenment by a seductive siren, only to learn that ash trays can float, and sex is the second dynamic.

§ Comment “This often surreal play pits a young man’s lust against his desire for a woman and her zealous belief in The Captain. • The set for ‘Naked Stage’ is a simple: a small round table and two chairs. Props involved are an ash tray and a copy of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. • Scott McMorrow is a member of Three Wise Monkeys Theatre Company in San Francisco. His plays have been produced in Europe and the United States. His professional memberships include PEN (Freedom-To-Write Committee), The Dramatists Guild, and the Playwright’s Center of San Francisco.

§ Themes cult, love, lust, redemption, relationship, sacrifice, sex.
