  §  Dramatis Personae Rosemary (f), 42, a writer; Trevor (m), 15, Rosemary’s son; Hugh (m), 44, Rosemary’s husband.

§  Synopsis “A lack of support by Rosemary’s husband and son hampers her career as a writer; nothing gets done around the house unless she does it. When Trevor comes home from school and dumps his things on the the floor, she snaps at him. To her surprise, he apologizes and puts them away. Her amazement grows when Hugh arrives home from work bringing the hardware he needs to fix the leaky showerhead. By the time Hugh offers to make dinner and Trevor sets the table and folds laundry, she’s sure they’re up to something. They want to buy a new computer? They’d rather buy a new car than let her remodel the kitchen? When they insist they only want to support her writing and help more around the house, her amazement becomes unease and then alarm. What are they up to? Are they trying to get rid of her? Why are they being so nice?

 §  Comment  “__________.”

§  Themes career, cooperation, fantasy, suspicion.
