§ Dramatis Personae Cato (m), 25, hyperactive; Kane (m), 40, a neurotic and dangerous man; Lindsey (f), 25, attractive geneticist.

§ Synopsis “Frustrated by her boyfriend Cato’s snoring, Lindsey was tricked into injecting him with cat DNA by Kane, her stalker boss. The snoring has disappeared, but there are all sorts of complications to this rash misapplication of genetic engineering: chasing invisible objects, hiding in boxes, a fear of needles. Lindsey and Cato prepare to move to get away from her evil boss, Kane, who is in love with her and wants to have Cato put down.

§ Comment “Single living room set, one scene. Some combat, and needs a few special props: a large box, a television, and a syringe. • The play has been produced four times, and was first runner-up in Pacific Northwest Drama Competition. It was also a finalist in the Lovecreek Playwrights' Festival.” • Research could include Dawson Moore: a biography, http://dawsonmoore.com/bio.html.

§ Themes cat, euthanasia, feline DNA, genetics, snoring, stalking, unanticipated consequences.
