§  Synopsis “Bunny and Bambi have been scrimping and saving for thirteen months for their dream vacation: nine days on an exotic tropical island.  They’ve finally arrived at the beach after a sixteen-hour trip.  Bunny is bubbling with enthusiasm; Bambi is exhausted.  Bunny thinks everything is perfect, from the color of the sky to the smell of the ocean.  Bambi thinks the beach is too hot, too sandy, and those screaming kids are giving her a headache.  Bunny wants to take a hike, go swimming, do some scuba diving, and get a tan before suppertime; Bambi just wishes Bunny would give it a rest.  It doesn’t take long before no one is having a very perfect time in paradise.

§  Comment “Can this vacation be saved?  •  One set or bare stage; props: tote bags and beach chairs.  •  Premiered at the Denver Performing Arts Festival, Denver, Colorado, U.S.A., 2002.
