§  Dramatis Personae Eydie (f), 62, supportive, forthright; Dora (f), 62, recently widowed, innocent nature.

§  Synopsis “The story is of two elderly women, old friends, who meet up in a London café shortly after one them—Dora—has been widowed. In the conversation Dora's grief and anger intensify, and her good friend Eydie begins to suspect there may be more to her angst than the loss of a loved one. Dora calmly removes from her shopping bag a large glass jar containing a human head. Startling revelations ensue as they discuss its mysterious identity and its becoming lodged in the cupboard under her stairs.

§  Comment “One simple set, no scene changes. Requires a believable human head encased in a glass jar.”
