Dramatis Personae Trina (f), Robert’s best friend; Louise (f),
Robert’s mother; Arthur (m), Robert’s father.
§
Synopsis “In her apartment, Trina clearly mourns a horrible
loss: her best friend, Robert, has died in a plane crash. In
the next scene, Trina meets Robert’s parents, Louise and Arthur.
The conversation discloses that Robert was gay, about which the parents
seem to have had no idea—Louise, indeed, has assumed that Trina is Robert’s
girlfriend. When Louise leaves for a moment, the complexity of the
situation emerges.”
