§ Dramatis
Personae Robert (m), 38, jilted Claire in high school; Claire (f), 38,
single, attendee at high school reunion; Woman (f), 38, _____.
§ Synopsis
“Claire has waited twenty years for her high school reunion. Single, she still
dreams of Robert, the man who jilted her. Their meeting is bittersweet and
touching.
§ Comment
“A surprise ending shows us, nothing was what it seemed. Robert was there,
. . . only in Claire's imagination. • One scene. The two women
should be in simple evening dresses, the man in a suit. An optional table
and chair would help. Dance music in the background adds to the moment.”
§ Themes
high school reunion, illusion, love, rejection, time.
