§  Dramatis Personae Richard Smythe (m), 50, supervising professor; Marie Ronald (f), 35, student; Woman (f), 38, secretary.

§  Synopsis “A somewhat dowdy mature-age student comes to her supervising professor with her latest attempt for a consultation. This is repeated twice, each time there is a costume change and the relationship between the two develops, the students costume becoming more flamboyant each time.

§  Comment “Will the Professor crack? Did the student really mean to tempt him at all? Script shows a little of some new ideas on the presentation of history.  •  This is a simple play to produce, as all changes occur without a break.  •  Premiered successfully as part of a triple-bill by The Moss Vale Players [P.O. Box 1359, Bowral, New South Wales 2575, Australia].”  •  Research tangentially could include Jon Elbourne’s (1) Macbeth: William Shakespeare, a modern language version, ISBN 0958916853, 78 pp., and (2) The Tempest: William Shakespeare, a modern language version, ISBN 0646341782, 85 pp., each a complete (not a rewrite) line-by-line transcription of the play into Modern English, telephone Bowral 02 4883 6069, Australia.

§  Themes academia, consultation, university, teacher-student relationship.
