§  Dramatis Personae Walter (m), 65, retiree; Mavis (f), 62, his wife, a federal employee.

§  Comment “Although much of their conversation shows a preoccupation with their neighbors—a younger husband and wife—the play is really about their marriage.  •  The one set requires a double bed and a few simple props such as a bench.  •  Susan Middaugh has written four full-length plays, two of them have been semi-finalists in the Julie Harris Playwriting Competition.  She has also written several 10-minute plays, many of them have been produced—in Omaha, Toronto, Lebanon, Pennsylvania; Los Angeles; Columbia and Potomac, Maryland.  •  Try It Out Theatre premiered ‘Such Good Neighbors’ at the Outback Theatre of Howard Community College, March, 2002.”

§  Themes affair, domestic violence, eavesdropping, marriage, neighbor, senior citizen, snooping.
