  §  Synopsis “Ethel, a widowed pensioner, settles one evening to tackle her daily crossword puzzle. A burglar enters her home believing it to be unoccupied. Suddenly her tranquil world turns upside down. Ethel vainly attempts to forge a relationship with the violent delinquent before her. His concerns lie only with getting his hands on her valuables . . . that and the unpleasant smell that fills the room. What is that smell?
