§ Synopsis “Over the course of a portrait sitting, an artist is reminded of a terrible incident that has unhinged her life. Slowly, she reveals the sad and shocking details of her self-induced abortion, turning the act of painting into a plea for compassion.

§ Comment “Set is an artist's easel; paints and brushes; a stool or chair. • Paul Gallagher is a writer and editor who has worked for newspapers and magazines in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and North Carolina. Works that have received productions or readings include the one-man show Albert, on cable TV in New York; the drama American Beauty, at New York's Village Gate; The Bharma Dumbs, at Pennsylvania Stage Company, in Allentown, Pennsylvania; and Blood and Bone, on public radio in Scranton, Pennsylvania.” • Mature themes.”
