§ Synopsis “Francesca, clearly Caucasian, enters the stage and talks about the time when she found out she was an Arab girl. It was September 11th when an airplane ‘seemed to fly right into my house.’ She describes the beauty of the Arab culture and how one of Arab descent might feel in the days after the bombing.
§ Comment “There are no scene changes but if you follow the stage direction you will need a few scarves or long pieces of material. • Can form part of a trilogy including ‘I Am a Black Girl,’ a dramatic monolog, 1f, and ‘I Am a Jewish Girl,’ a dramatic monolog, 1f. • It was performed November 16th-30th, 2001 at the Back Door Theatre as part of Sowelu Theatre Company's tribute to September 11th.”
